Who Are We?
Eric James, Chef
Eric James never set out to be a chef—he simply enjoyed cooking. For him, food is about connection, whether it’s a special occasion or a casual gathering. What sets him apart is his judgment-free approach—he doesn’t care how someone likes their food, only that they leave happy. As a personal chef, he enjoys the freedom to be creative while giving clients exactly what they want, without the red tape. His journey wasn’t marked by a single defining moment; it evolved naturally through word-of-mouth and referrals. Outside the kitchen, his greatest joys are eating and traveling, and above all, he hopes to be seen as someone who genuinely cares—both through food and in life.
Derek Upton, Sous Chef
Chef Derek Upton has paved a path of his own. With a continuous 15-year track record of success and professionalism, he has cooked for pro athletes, celebrities and on national television. Most notably were his features on the Netflix original Cooked with Cannabis in 2020, Food Networks Chopped 420 in 2021, being in the top 5 best private chefs in Arizona for 3 consecutive years by Soeliesh Magazine Phoenix. and in 2024 making the cover of Soeliesh Magazine LA as the number 1 traveling private chef.
